Quote it is built local-first: every client, catalog item, estimate, and invoice you create lives on your device by default. This policy explains the little that ever leaves it — and exactly when that happens.
01Overview
Quote it is an offline-first quoting and invoicing app for solo contractors and small trade crews. The app works fully without an account. Signing in is optional and only needed if you want cloud backup, multi-device sync, or to share a business with up to five crew members.
This policy covers what happens in both cases — signed out (fully local) and signed in (optional sync).
02Information we collect

We do not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, or usage tracking of any kind. There are no third-party ad or analytics SDKs in Quote it.
03How we use it
- To generate the PDF estimates and invoices you create, including your business logo and signature.
- To back up your business data and restore it if you sign in on a new device.
- To let an invited crew member see the same clients, catalog, and jobs as the business owner.
- To unlock Quote it Pro features after a verified purchase or restored subscription.
We never use your data to train models, sell it, or share it for advertising.
04Storage & retention
All data is stored in a local SQLite database on your device. Nothing is transmitted anywhere. Deleting the app deletes this data permanently.
Business data is mirrored to Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore, hosted by Google, under a Google Cloud project we control. Sync happens on your action — app open, saving a document, or tapping "Sync Now" — never continuously in the background.
06Security
Cloud data is protected by Firestore security rules that restrict every read and write to members of your business — no one outside your crew can access your data, even other Quote it users. Authentication is handled by Firebase Auth; we never see or store your password.
07Your choices
- Use Quote it without an account — sync is opt-in, never required.
- Delete your local data — uninstalling the app removes everything stored on-device.
- Delete your cloud data — contact us (below) and we will delete your account and associated business data from Firebase.
- Leave a crew — a crew member can be removed by the business owner at any time from the app's Crew screen.
08Children's privacy
Quote it is a business tool for contractors and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
09Changes to this policy
If we change how Quote it handles your data, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the update.
